Fire
Flickering flames, a light in the dark
Golden hands reaching to the night sky
A spark of life leaps into the air
Free from the ripples of auburn fire
The heat flows free,
Warming chilled hands
A refuge among the stillness of the night.
Gentle and quiet,
Flames flicker freely
A powerful force
Holding the warmth of life
Yet docile and tamed.
Tongues of molten gold
Die into glowing embers
Calm and weakened,
Surrounded by fading ashes, but alive
And the spark of life.
Monstrous flames, a terror to behold
Stabbing the shadows with sharp rays of light
Molten and powerful, carving a path
Through wreckage and debris
Of charred, shattered remains.
Blood-red demons dance into the sky
Cackling madly as flames consume all
The rush of burning heat and chaotic blaze
Does not cease, and instead is fueled
By the smoldering ruins of its destruction.
Started with innocence, ended in tragedy
The wicked flames that spread without mercy
Seemingly obedient, but a demon within
No longer visions of golden light
But a villainous fiend, devouring all that lay
At its flickering embodiment.

Ain't it great?
Fire's pretty.
All twisty and bendy and it melts things.
And burns other things.
And smoke gets all twisty and cool.
